Ploughing On

I’m knackered. All this week I’ve fully intended on getting to bed early so I can get up early, but each night has seen something drag out until at least 1am. Last night it was 1:30am before I turned out the light, and it was all because I got caught up the Tom Cruise film, Minority Report. I had to force myself to shut down half an hour before it ended – and it’s not like I haven’t seen it before.

But I managed to get up earlier than previous attempts this week, though of course as a result, I could hardly keep my eyes open until I was at least 3 coffees into the day.

Busy day in the day job thanks to technical problems and the fact I was the only one in my team in today. Always happens.

Got through a lot of other stuff later on, too. I re-developed a short story idea I had a while back into something more exciting, as well as turning back to an un-finished novel I began writing five years ago. Sound interesting? It is. More later on that if it comes of anything.

I applied for three freelance gigs that took my fancy, and did quite a bit of work on my new web client’s sites, mostly selecting templates and advising him on web hosting. Things are moving now with this one. I’ve now got two web clients on the books covering three site developments, plus one client who has still to pay the balance on a previous project.

I’m still having problems converting RAW files to JPG! Total pain but I’m getting there.

And I worked on the Rome chapbook later in the evening; but not too late – I want an early night!
