Time for a Pub Crawl

Time for a Pub Crawl

The day job has squeezed much of my time over the last couple of days but I’ve still managed to get through some good work.

Savvy Workshop
Comments on my first optional extra script came back and I have some more work to do on it. I think I kind of let it get away from me and lost the plot (no pun intended) with regards to how scripts should be formatted and move from one scene to another. It’s not a style of writing that comes naturally and I find myself very often writing the dialogue then going back and filling in who said what. I’m more used to writing prose from within the story but with script writing, one has very much to look all around.

I’ll be able to get the revisions complete but I fear that with me leaving for Glasgow and then England this evening, I might not get the final optional assignment complete. Thankfully it IS only optional but even though the workshop closes on Sunday I will still complete it.

Dream Land
I’ve been having some pretty horrible dreams the last few nights that have given me broken sleep and left me feeling tired and irritable the next day. This is not the best way to be going into the day job for7:45am with a 10-hour day of hard work lying ahead. The dreams have all been about losing stuff: my holdall, my earphones, my cap – family members. Not nice.

The Diners
As I mentioned earlier, it’s time for the annual Diners trip. We’re heading to Northumberland for a weekend of male bonding, drinking, fake falling and loving insults. Before then, I’ll be in Glasgow this evening to have dinner with my sister, Binny, go to the flix and to hand over her birthday gift. It’s nothing major this year but it is something she will like.

Social Networking
As you know I’m on Twitter (@colingalbraith) and if you’re a mate, Facebook too. I’m a prolific tweeter, having tweeted all around the world at special events – famously at the Edinburgh Book Festival last year – and I’ve even run successful competitions for my books on it.

I’m planning on developing my Facebook presence further to include my books in the coming weeks, but meantime, if you want to join in on all the pictures, videos, news and nonsense I tweet, follow me at @colingalbraith.

And with me being away from the computer for the next few days, now would be a good time to get in on the action. I’m going to pre-post some blog entries for while I’m away to give you a taste of what I’ve been up to recently.
