Books and Boudoir

I had to work on day job tasks late into Tuesday night and then very early yesterday morning, so by the time it came time to leave yesterday, I was shattered.

I saved the evening by grabbing a couple of hours kip when I got home – badly needed because even my boss told me I should head off home early – and so made some progress on a few items requiring my attention.

Poetry on Kindle
The main item on my agenda was giving my poetry books a final proofing of their Kindle format. I made a few changes, discovering that depending how successful the initial reformatting process works, the less fiddly tweaking requires to be done later.

This means that FRINGE FANTASTIC, POOLSIDE POETRY and SILLY POEMS FOR WEE PEOPLE VOL.2 have all now been submitted to Amazon and should be available on the Kindle within the next couple of days. The price? Only £0.99 ($0.99) – an absolute steal!

My fictional paranormal spy thriller, STELLA, published through Eternal Press, is already available on Kindle, priced around £3.

The next step is to assemble the marketing to go along with it, and then Mission HUNTING JACK shall begin.

Boudoir
The next item on my agenda was to draft and return some articles for my wife. Gail now runs a blog in parallel to her photography business – the Gail Galbraith Photography Blog – and as well as expanding her already successful wedding and portrait portfolio, she has now moved into boudoir, which is what the articles were about. They didn’t take long; short, sweet, snappy and sexy!

Man in the East
I wrote and published my review of the recent Big Audio Dynamite gig at Glasgow’s ABC. You can read it online over at the Man in the East website. I need to get these out much quicker than I am.

Wide Days
I’m supposed to be on the guest list for a gig as part of the Wide Days event taking place in Edinburgh today. [Read the Scotsman preview here] I’d applied for the Withered Hand and Rachel Sermanni gig from a journalistic angle, but as yet I’ve not heard back.

Disappointing, because not only did I really want to write both of these artists, I also really wanted to see them live because I greatly enjoy their work. Maybe I am on the list and I don’t know; maybe I should just pop along and chance my arm…

Free Ebooks Giveaway on Twitter
I’m running a special giveaway over on Twitter. The 1000th person to follow me on Twitter will receive all my published ebooks for free, and for everyone that helps get me there (i.e., everyone who follows me between Friday 1st April right up to the 1000 mark) will also be in with a chance of winning the same prize. 1. It’s all coming together. Patience, patience! I’d call the PR person at the venue and ask if you’re on the list.
