To quote The Specials, this weekend marked what can only be described for me as the dawning of a new era.
New Website
I launched my new website, chopping off all the unnecessary clutter and focussing the whole thing on my fiction, crime and paranormal, the two “genres” I find most of my fiction falling into.
www.colingalbraith.co.uk is the place, so have a wee check out before you go. If you’re a reader, it’ll be worth your while to sign up to the mailing list of Liking my Facebook page, because that merest of actions will entitle you to a free copy of each of my next three ebooks. 3 novels – for free – for you- simply by pressing a button. Can’t be bad!
If you like the site, drop me an email. Tell me what you think. Anything missing? Anything you’d like to see or don’t want to see?
Poetry Diversion
So what happened to all my poetry? Well, I’ve moved all of that under a new pen name – Chas Stramash – and you can find it all over at www.chasstramash.com
All my books are there, they’ve just been re-branded in order to move the focus of my name back to fiction, where it belongs. That doesn’t mean I’m stopping writing poetry, I’m not, I’m just using a pen name for the first time ever. It’s quite fun, actually, as it allows me to be different in the way I market it all, which is kind of the idea. Also quite exciting if I’m honest.
Now’s a good time to visit Chas Stramash, because all my ebooks are available for free download, only 86p on Kindle, and print copies are available with 25% off for only £3.
Grab ‘em while you can!
Podcast Episode 2
As well as all of this, I’ve been busy with other things, too. I finally got around to recording the second episode of The Colin Galbraith Podcast. Episode 2 is called ‘Wrapping Up the 2011 Book Festival’ and you can read the full article and listen to the associated podcast over at the (Unofficial) Edinburgh book Festival Blog.
Alternatively, if you just want to listen to the podcast, click play below:

I had to resubmit the iTunes feed for my podcasts as the original was the wrong one. It was a valid feed, it was just pointing to the wrong place. I fixed this, and resubmitted so within a couple of days you’ll be able to listen to the podcasts on iTunes, which means you can subscribe and do all the usual stuff on your iPod, iPhone, or whatever.
Back to the Page
The launch of the new website has been as much a revelation as it was a great way to help me focus. The rest of my time over the weekend was spent doing what I do best: writing fiction. BACCARA BURNING is now in its final draft (pending beta readers’ feedback) and is moving swiftly and positively along.
Here’s to a fruitful and successful run up to the end of 2011. I’m very excited about the future!
Peace and out!
Colin,
I wish you every success in all of your new ventures. If success is measured by enthusiasm and focus, then you can’t posibly fail.
Looking forward to witnessing your journey.
Rob
Cheers pal – appreciated 🙂
