Manky Scotland

A manky day, truly manky. It was below freezing for most of it, the overnight snow (yes, snow!) had iced up hard, and I nearly skidded onto my arse at least twice on my way into the day job. Couple that with the fact it was dark by 3:30pm in the afternoon, and you can perhaps begin to see why us Scots are often labelled as a bunch of grumpy shits.

It’s because it’s the days in Scotland are 3 hours long between December and February!!!

The day job dragged. And I mean it really dragged. At one point the woman that sits next to me commented on the higher than average sighing and moaning I was doing at my desk—I wasn’t even aware of it.

Shed Review
My review of Friday’s Shed Seven gig at the Glasgow Barrowland, is now up and ready for your reading enjoyment over at the Man in the East website.

Living Leith
I completed a full revision of LIVING LEITH in the morning. It was my coffee shop assignment of the day and I got through it all, totally forgetting about the time and eventually running late for the day job because of it. Still, the coffee was nice.

Preparations
The rest of my day was taken up with preparations for tonight. Tonight is all about the kids at The SKY Project in Kilmarnock. I’ll be there this evening chatting to the staff and the kids, showing them some fun things they can do with words and poetry, and reading them some of my own. And in return, they’re going to share some pizza with me. Can’t be bad! I’ll tell you all about it tomorrow.

That’s all for today, except to remind you of the fabulous deal I have running just now, the 3 Ebook Deal—it’s an absolute steal!

It got really dark here at about 2pm, really horrible, and we didn’t even have the added benefit of snow. It’s really yukky and damp here.

Got something to say? Do it here...
