TFI Friday

Look who’s the headline story in today’s issue of The ShjIBF Daily, The Sharjah International Book Fair’s daily online newspaper. I may not have been able to make it out to the UAE for the book fair, but my presence has still been felt!

I am so glad it’s Friday. This has been one heck of an extraordinarily long week and I really need some downtime from everything — except my writing; my writing needs some serious uptime after all that’s gone on — in order to get back to zero.

I’ve not been able to devote a single evening to full-on writing and although it was for something of a much higher priority, I feel frustrated at the lack of progress I’ve been able to make these past four days. Normally I wouldn’t let it get to me but with it being the final week of the month, it has.

I’m not sure what’s planned for the weekend. I know that I need to call my sister in Perth and my mother at some point, nip into the aquarium centre for some new tropical fish supplies (and maybe even some new fish), try and relax and get some sleep at some point, and I need to work through a batch of paperwork sitting on my desk. And I simply MUST be ready for the start of NaNoWriMo on Monday.

My Friday video this week isn’t a video, it’s audio, and it’s nothing that spectacular either. Scottish stand-up comic, actor, journalist, playwright and blogger, Janey Godley, put out a twequest for AudioBoos for her podcast. Being a regular listener, I was only too happy to oblige.

  1. Diane says:

Fear not, you WILL be ready. (Cos I just said so if for no other reason.)

    Congratulations on the front page.
