Mogwai
This was one gig I had to get a review put together sharpish, due to the tightness of my schedule in the last few days running up to Christmas. I wrote half of it last night and the rest this morning, so I’m delighted to say you can read all about Mogwai’s five star performance at Glasgow Barrowland last night, over at the Man in the East website.
Chrimbo Bevy
It was a great day. Although it was billed as drinks before a gig, it kind of became a Christmas bevy with my sister, as it’s the last time I’ll see her until after the new year. I made my way to her flat after the day job, but she was running behind so I grabbed a few pints in Glasgow until she was ready to finish up. Pretty soon we were sitting I her local enjoying a few bevvies.
After a few—and I mean quite a few—drinky poos, we headed to the gig. With Mogwai being a Glasgow band with a strong underground following, the place was stowed out to the rafters with a wide range of types in their following. The gig was awesome; just what I needed and a great way to end my gigging year.

During a gap between two songs, some bloke called Darren got up on stage and one of the unlikeliest yet most memorable stage invasions at a Madness gig occurred. Watch to find out what happened.
